When we opened Kaya Gantavya Resort & Spa in Pelling, we wanted to create a place where guests could slow down, face the mountains and feel looked after. The response from our guests has encouraged us to grow — carefully, and in places we love.
Today we are happy to share the names of two new members of the Kaya Hotels & Resorts family.
Kaya Vatsalya Hotel & Spa, Pelling
Our second home in Pelling, Kaya Vatsalya will bring the same warm Kaya hospitality to another part of town, with a spa at its heart. It is for travellers who want Pelling’s mountain air and monasteries with a calm, well-run hotel to come back to each evening.

Kaya Anvaya, Kalimpong
Our first property outside Sikkim will be in Kalimpong, the relaxed hill town in North Bengal known for its flower nurseries, monasteries and views over the Teesta valley. At around 1,250 metres, Kalimpong is milder than Pelling and roughly a 2.5–3 hour drive from Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri (NJP), which makes it a lovely first or last stop on a Sikkim and Darjeeling trip.
Think slow mornings, Deolo Hill sunsets and quiet walks to Durpin Monastery — with a Kaya welcome waiting for you.
A Pelling + Kalimpong holiday
Once both properties are open, a simple route will be: arrive at NJP or Bagdogra, spend two nights in Kalimpong to unwind, then drive to Pelling for three nights of Kanchenjunga sunrises, monasteries and the Skywalk. We will publish a detailed itinerary nearer the opening.
